As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we want to highlight a female entrepreneur in the Southwest Detroit community, Laly Piña, who has organized an Expo Quinceañera for several years.[vc_single_image image=”11749″ img_size=”1000×500″ alignment=”center”]Quinceañeras are widely celebrated among Latinos; they mark an important milestone in a girl’s life. The celebration is a combination of a birthday party and a girl coming of age. A quinceñera is a community and family celebration full of traditions. Since 2012, she has organized several Expo Quinceañeras. The most popular quinceañera dresses will be featured on a runway, along with a showcase of other types of dresses and accessories, such as centerpieces, invitations and other items. Although many of Quince Primavera’s clients live out of state, they travel from tri-county areas to join the popular showcase.
