Scale Studio is TechTown Detroit’s flagship applied AI program.
Designed to help early-stage founders and small business leaders turn artificial intelligence into real business solutions.

This six-week, build-as-you-learn cohort blends education, expert coaching, and hands-on implementation. Participants identify an operational challenge, design workflow automation, and build a working AI system tailored to their business model—using no-code tools like Zapier, Notion, GPT, etc.

How Scale Studio AI Lab works

The AI Lab brings together facilitators, mentors-in-residence, and technical builders to guide participants through:

Automation zones and system triggers
Customer insights and structured prompting
Marketing automation and natural language app development

Each participant’s solution is built, tested, and documented for transparency, scalability, and reproducibility. In partnership with Wayne State University, the Lab also generates research insights on the usability and integrity of these systems, contributing to broader scientific and economic development conversations.
